Positions currently available in Miramichi;

Defense Assembler

Position Summary:
Responsible for the installation/assembly of parts and other components to make final products according to the daily production schedule while observing all related process instructions, safety, quality and administrative procedures.
Responsibilities:
  1. To study, read, and understand the schematic diagrams, blueprints, product manuals, process documents, and gather information regarding its parts, fixtures, tools, assembly requirements, etc.
  2. To set up, arrange, and operate equipment as per the specifications and instructions from the supervisor
  3. To assemble parts or components to build a product
  4. To contribute in fitting, building, or reconstruction of various parts to ensure smooth process of component amalgamation
  5. To perform regular test and inspection procedures to ensure that the product is formed in accordance with the specifications
  6. To implement and identify needs for improvement by conveying it to the senior personnel, so that quality of products is maintained

In addition to these responsibilities, they are also responsible for the following duties:

  • To maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with the company’s rules and policies
  • To maintain and update the results related to various tests and inspection procedures conducted regarding the product specification
  • To make sure that all the parts, labor, and other processes are progressing at the given time
  • To resolve discrepancies and maintain the integrity of the business and product
  • To monitor, maintain, and repair the equipment as per the requirements and to ensure good team work.
  • To comply with all safety, labour, environmental and security related matters.
Key Relationships:
1.      General labour, assembly team members, leadership members and managers.
Qualifications:
1.    Knowledge: Experience or trade courses in manufacturing, assemble of metal parts and production; understanding of technical drawings, product technical data and MSDS; measurements and tolerances; basic understanding of sealants, cleaners and other chemical materials; inventory control and quality control. Safety and environmental compliance knowledge required.

2.    Skills: Good organization and planning; strong verbal and written communications, excellent ability to

work with power and manual tools on precision tolerances and fine finishing metal parts; proficient use of PC and basic software (Microsoft).   ERP experience preferred.

3.    Competencies: Leadership and dynamism, goal achievement and team work; respectful attitude; able to work independently or in a team environment. Must be able to be approved to work in Controlled Goods environment.

 

General Labour

Position Summary:

Qualifications:
4.    Knowledge: Experience working in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
